Collier Backs Alloa Innovation Hub as Key to the Wee County's Economic Future

Mike Collier has expressed strong backing for the Alloa Innovation and Digital Hub project, funded through the Stirling and Clackmannanshire City Region Deal, describing it as a transformative investment that could change the economic trajectory of Clackmannanshire. Clackmannanshire Council has directed £8.03 million from the City Region Deal towards new jobs, skills development, and projects including the Alloa Innovation Hub and Alloa Digital Hub, aiming to attract technology and innovation businesses to the area. 'The Alloa Innovation Hub is exactly the kind of investment that Clackmannanshire needs,' said Mr Collier. 'It creates the infrastructure for businesses in digital, tech, and creative sectors — precisely the quality, well-paid jobs that will make it worthwhile for young people to stay here and build their careers.' He called for the project to be delivered on schedule and for the Scottish Government to work with Clackmannanshire Council to maximise its impact by connecting the Hub to local school and college career pathways, ensuring young people from the county are aware of and prepared for the opportunities it creates. He also called for further City Region Deal investment in skills and business support for the wider Clackmannanshire economy. 'Reform UK will champion economic investment in the Wee County. Alloa can be a hub for innovation and growth — and Reform UK will make sure that happens.'
